Ah, November – one of my most favorite months of the year – and not just because there are some killer National Food Holidays!
Fall leaf color is at its peak (seriously, the leaves look like they’re painted in beautiful warm hues of red, orange, and yellow right now), temps are cool enough at night to leave the window cracked – just a little, and there’s always an excuse to cook comfort foods and other goodies. November happens to also be my anniversary month – 11 years, this year!
Regarding food, just today alone, my plan is to cook a whole chicken in the slow cooker, make overnight slow cooker chicken stock and two different kids of zucchini muffins. This 50°F stuff is great cooking weather, folks!
Let’s see what November has cookin’ from a National Food Holidays perspective, shall we?
(PS: How is there no TURKEY in this list??)
