Grace Langlois and I have known each other for two years.
Except that we’ve never actually met, or carried on a conversation much beyond Twitter.
But she and I started promoting our foodie blogs right around the same time in 2010, so I feel a connection to her. The beautiful photos on her site (taken by her very talented daughter) are one reason I felt the urge to amp up my own photo game a little over a year ago.
‘Cause compared to hers, my photos…well…they sucked.
Don’t mistake the fact that I describe Grace’s dessert recipes as “in depth” for meaning they’re not worth trying, or difficult even. My point of sharing that was to show just how different two food bloggers can be, and also to show how obvious it is that I am not a pastry/dessert focused foodie by way of comparing two similar recipes – although the similarities really stop with the fact that they’re both cheesecake with caramel and some sort of nut in the crust.
Grace and her recipes, blog and NEW COOKBOOK totally rock, is really where I’m going with this.
Disregard the fact that I spelled “cookbook” “cook book” in the actual video. I’m somewhat Type A when it comes to edits, but not so much so that I felt like bothering to correct that little error.
I’m sure the content is appropriate for use with children.
And that is what I learned. I will keep it as a guide.
